Snow and Gas Gills

London was cold today, when I say cold, I mean cold. The temperatures have drastically fallen, and today, we saw snow.

Snow you ask, but London snows all the time, you ask. But this is October. Normally, it’s a bit warmer, with traces of summer. Winter is a long way from now yet many parts of the country hit zero degrees. This leaves us wondering how Dec will be like, or Feb, the coldest month of the year.

Snow is good, don’t get me wrong, but you need a warm house to get back to, but with the high gas and electricity prices, what do we do?

@Mo, pole, we shall overcome.

@Tshix, Car fuel's gone down, why can't house fuel do so?. I hope London follows suit, although it's overtaken so many cities in the last year and become the 2nd most expensive city in Europe. I think I'll relocate, any jobs in Kenya?

@Neema, gal, you're mad. I love snow too, but I think of the before and aftermath, no thanks.

Are you up north or south. I hear north's most hit, as usual.

How do you gals love snow?

Because I was suffering enough from the cold when I dropped by Europe some weeks ago and it was just autumn temperatures. I think I would have never left the airport if I saw frozen water falling from the sky.

Hang in there Maua. Fuel is also quite expensive over here, actually more expensive than in America.

@Mo, gals just like the colour, and the building snowmen, but when it getsreally cold, they start cursing, just like you did.

@Neema, how is the seaside? I love Bournemouth, one of my favourite in summer.

@PKW, Fuel expensive in Kenya? I used to get my own kuni from Karura Forest on my back during the school holidays and store for the school time. 'I miss them days, hahaha'.

That ka- snow was a bit of a surprise but it caused immense chaos and disastrous results on that wednesday.

A "foreign" lorry driver was unfortunate enough to skid on the ice, over-turn his articulated lorry and shed his load all over the motorway at the notorious Stokenchurch hill as you drive down towards Oxford. It was just bad luck that he was carrying several tonnes of lard.You can imagine what followed: cars skidding all over on this mafuta and colliding with one another. The lorry driver was killed instantly and the motorway was shut for the whole day....it was unbelievable.....

@Neema, sweet memories in Bournemoth (read bomath). Look forth next summer.

@Donworry, welcome. True, true, that snow caught us all by surprise. I saw the news about the closure of M40, but didn't know exactly what caused it. UK for you.
