Depends. If its not a church I'd say "Jesus was a very good person with great teachings that you can live by who lived in the middle east about 2000 years ago"
In Church, I'd basically give them some version of the apostles creed.
I'd think of something funny to say to lighten up the mood... U know... like ummm... "Hey... Ever seen those WWJD bracelets and actually wondered what Jesus would really do? Well, wonder no more.... I got the Man himself to answer your questions:)"
